Join a team of dedicated volunteers

We couldn’t reach the people we do without our dedicated team of volunteers. If you would like to help in your community your skills could be just what we need.

Thousands of volunteers across the UK help the Trussell Foodbank Network get emergency food to those that need it most. There are lots of ways to get involved with Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank. However you choose to take part you will be making a real difference in your community.

Advisory Board

Do you have a passion for the local community and think you could help us as Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank serve those in need? We would love you to join our Advisory Board. We would encourage applications from people with lived experience, people with experience of volunteering with the food bank, existing supporters of the food bank, local community representatives, referral agencies and faith representatives. Please read the role description here.

The first meeting will be on Monday 13th April 2026, time and location TBC. Please complete the Expression of Interest form by Monday 23rd March and we will be in contact shortly after.

If you would like to find out more or have any questions, please email Lillie-Mae:

Regular volunteer positions available

All volunteer positions are now advertised and applied for via the Trussell website. Please do not contact Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank directly. Search the most up-to-date positions with Lambeth & Croydon Food Bank at volunteering opportunities.

  • We’re looking for a Hub Volunteer to provide a friendly and warm welcome to all who visit the Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank Hub in Dulwich – details here.
  • We need a Volunteer Delivery Driver, using own vehicle – details here.

By volunteering with the Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank you will be using your existing skills to make a difference and you’ll meet new people who share your passion to eradicate poverty in the community. We are looking for volunteers from all parts of the community including those with lived experience of foodbanks.

Driver: You will need a clean driving licence, access to a car which is fully insured with valid MOT. Alternatively, if you cycle and have access to a cargo bike and wish to volunteer as a cycle delivery driver, we would encourage you to apply when you see a post advertised.

Please note: The  driver role involves a degree of lifting and carrying so volunteers will need good fitness levels. In addition, we are looking for volunteers to help remotely with calling and to ensure clients get thesupport they need and parcels suitable to their needs.

Sign up to our enewsletter to hear about the latest volunteering opportunities. There are other ways to get involved with the Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank: you can donate, give food or your business can partner with us. You could also consider hosting a fundraiser for us. Read our fundraising booklet to find some inspiration.
