Volunteering at our Foodbank Warehouse
We aim to give corporate teams a valuable and rewarding experience at our warehouse. Our warehouse volunteering day starts with a tour of the facilities and an introduction on the origins and work of the foodbank. Teams then take on tasks in the warehouse which could include, for example, unpacking and sorting incoming donations, shelf stacking to organise the large amount of food stored in the warehouse, and cleaning equipment. The work your team does during this time will directly help someone in need.

Location: Tulse Hill, SW2 3UP
Regular Day: Wednesdays (please enquire with us directly about other days as we may be able to accommodate your team).
Timings: 9:45am-1:00pm
Numbers: 3-12
Cost: We ask for a donation of £100pp for groups of between 3-9 and a flat rate fee of £1000 for groups of 10+. If you are a NFP or smaller business, we have special rates so please get in touch to discuss.
Deposit: £250 or 50% of the total cost of your day, whichever is least.
Payment Information: To secure your date, the deposit is required within 14 days of receiving our event confirmation document. Final balance is due 6 weeks prior to the day or asap if we are already within that window. 6 weeks’ notice is required for rescheduling or cancellations; cancellations will incur a £75 admin fee.

Volunteering at our Tesco Collections
This is the perfect volunteering opportunity for your team if you only have a few hours or a half day to give but want to make a big difference! Your team will get to experience first-hand the importance of these annual supermarket collections for the survival of our Foodbank. You will spend the time handing lists to shoppers of our most needed foodbank parcel items and inviting customers to buy an extra item from the list to donate to the Foodbank. You’ll then receive the items, thank shoppers and sort donations ready for delivery to our warehouse. This is a very enjoyable day with customers’ responses being overwhelmingly positive to this type of collection.
Details about the day
Location: Various Tesco stores across Lambeth and Croydon
Days: TBC November 2026
Timings: 9:45am-4:30pm (two-hour slots, half days or full days available)
Numbers: Up to 4 or 6 at any one time, store dependent. Please get in touch to discuss further if you have a larger team.
Cost: Free – but if your company would like to make a donation to our Foodbank or host a food drive at your workplace, we wouldn’t say no!
