Lambeth South & Croydon Foodbank joins forces with Waterloo Foodbank (Oasis Hub Waterloo) to create Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank

1st April 2025

Lambeth South & Croydon Foodbank (formerly Norwood & Brixton Foodbank) has joined with Waterloo Foodbank (part of Oasis Hub Waterloo) to become one food bank, together serving the communities of Lambeth and Croydon.

The food banks in this area have seen huge growth both in terms of community need and operations over the last five years and recognise that this is the right time to consolidate operations and formally join together, as we continue to grow, develop and work to tackle poverty in our community.

By joining together, the newly formed Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank will ensure that local people continue to get the help they need in the most efficient and effective way, utilising the expertise and infrastructure of Oasis Hub Waterloo, Waterloo Foodbank’s parent charity.

We have also moved the Foodbank warehouse and office base to the Oasis St Martin’s Village in Tulse Hill. The food bank referral system, and much of the day-to-day support to local people will continue to operate as previously, providing local people with vital support and care.

Operations Director at Oasis Hub Waterloo, Rebekah Gibson, said, “We’ve loved working closely with Lambeth South and Croydon Foodbank over many years and we’re excited about this next step to align our work even more closely by bringing Lambeth South and Croydon Foodbank into the Oasis family.”
