Christmas volunteering opportunities
With 9.3 million people in the UK struggling to afford enough food, foodbanks are more vital than ever. Christmas is a wonderful opportunity to raise much-needed funds for the foodbank, and we’ve got an exciting line-up of events, from carol singing to fundraising at Crystal Palace FC!
We’re calling on our amazing volunteers to help by singing, bucket-shaking, and spreading festive cheer to support Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank at these events. If you can join us for one or more, we’d be incredibly grateful.
Your time and energy make a real difference; without our volunteers we couldn’t provide emergency food parcels and wraparound support to ensure no one goes hungry this Christmas.

Merry Christmas and happy volunteering! 🎄

- We need a Volunteer Delivery Driver, using own vehicle – details here.
By volunteering with the Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank you will be using your existing skills to make a difference and you’ll meet new people who share your passion to eradicate poverty in the community. We are looking for volunteers from all parts of the community including those with lived experience of foodbanks.
Driver: You will need a clean driving licence, access to a car which is fully insured with valid MOT. Alternatively, if you cycle and have access to a cargo bike and wish to volunteer as a cycle delivery driver, we would encourage you to apply when you see a post advertised.
Supermarket collections coordinators: This role is perfect for an organised and enthusiastic individual. The role involves managing volunteers, putting together rotas and organising the collection process.
Please note: The driver role involves a degree of lifting and carrying so volunteers will need good fitness levels. In addition, we are looking for volunteers to help remotely with calling and to ensure clients get thesupport they need and parcels suitable to their needs.
